We are looking for a qualified Medical Laboratory Technologist to work in an intermediate-sized medical laboratory in one of Kuwait’s most medical focused areas. The laboratory covers different subspecialties like hematology, clinical chemistry, andrology, and microbiology.
The goal is to maintain as well as improve the quality of service and delivers the best possible care to our patients.
Responsibilities
Specimen received and handling preanalytical issues.
Perform laboratory testing according to approved own laboratory standards of procedures.
Analyze laboratory results and deliver to the requesting physicians/ clients.
Managing inventory.
Practicing quality and safety culture within the organization.
Having a sounds knowledge of how to operate and taking care of laboratory instruments.
Perform daily quality controls.
Assess validation and optimization for any given test.
Requirements
Valid medical laboratory technologist certification recognized by the Ministry of Health.
Valid license in current work.
Expertise in general or any of the above laboratory sections subspecialties are also acceptable.
Practical experience in phlebotomy is encouraged.
At least five years of experience, as well as master degree, is preferred
Two to three references
knowledge of QHSE Systems, preventative measures and laboratory best practices
Ability to work autonomously.
